2026 Chongqing Half Marathon
The 2026 Chongqing (Changjiahu) Half Marathon is scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m. on November 1, 2026 (Sunday) on South Binhui Road in Chongqing. The event will feature only one race category, the half marathon (21.0975 kilometers), with a participation scale of 16,000 people. The starting point is located at Huaotan Smoke Rain Park, and the race route follows South Binhui Road, passing by landmarks such as Chaotianmen Bridge, Yangtze River Bridge, and Caoyuanba Bridge, and finally returning to Huaotan Smoke Rain Park to complete the finish line. As the core event of the Chongqing Marathon series, Changjiahu Half Marathon is the only half marathon event in China that can directly lead to the Chongqing Marathon. The 2026 event has comprehensively upgraded aspects such as race experience, direct benefits, competition organization, and supporting services. The following four highlights are particularly worthy of attention.

Highlight One: The only "directly accessible to the Chongqing Marathon" half marathon stage in China, with 1,000 spots directly leading to the "National Marathon"
As the core event of the Chongqing Marathon series, the 2026 Changjiahu Half Marathon continues to offer its most attractive event benefits - direct access to the Chongqing Marathon. This event will award the top 500 male and female finishers (a total of 1,000 participants) with 2027 Chongqing Marathon direct access spots based on their net timing results. The Chongqing Marathon is regarded as one of the "National Marathons", and its winning rate is consistently low. Therefore, Changjiahu Half Marathon has become the most precious "green channel" for runners to reach the Chongqing Marathon. This is a reward for perseverance and a relay of dreams.

Highlight Two: The "naturally PB race route" on South Binhui Road, with a flat and open terrain to help set personal bests
The race route of Changjiahu Half Marathon has selected the most exquisite, smooth, and highly-rated sections of the Chongqing Marathon. The route follows South Binhui Road, encompassing the magnificent scene of the confluence of the two rivers, and backs onto the lush natural oxygen bar of the南山. Here, the Yangtze River and the Jialing River converge, exuding the grandeur of this city; history and modernity blend here, weaving the unique cultural texture of the mountain city. The race route is flat and open, and is praised by runners as the "naturally PB race route". A 21.0975-kilometer run is not just a measurement of distance, but also the rhythm of the city's heartbeat.

Highlight Three: A万人-scale event, with staggered starting to ensure competition experience
The 2026 event maintains a high level of scale, featuring the half marathon race, with a participation of 16,000 people. The event adopts staggered starting methods and divides the participants into zones based on their personal best results in the past two years in certified events by the China Athletics Association. Strict registration and zone systems ensure that different levels of participants are in their respective positions without interfering with each other. Medical points and timing sensors are set up every 2.5 kilometers along the route starting from the 5-kilometer mark, and there are timing devices at the start and finish lines, every 5-kilometer section timing points, and the remote return point to ensure the accuracy and fairness of the race results.

Highlight Four: Professional support and integration of mountain culture, creating an immersive running experience
In terms of event services, the 2026 Changjiahu Half Marathon continues to be optimized. The event provides storage services, allowing participants to deposit their clothes at the start and finish lines according to their number segments. Drinking water, beverages, and energy supply stations are scientifically distributed along the route. Fixed medical points are set up at the start, along the route, and at the finish line, providing free medical services for runners. The race route connects two river confluences, Piziben Old Street, and Lufos, allowing runners to immerse themselves in the unique mountain scenery and cultural charm of Chongqing while challenging themselves.
