2027 Xiamen Marathon
The 2027 Jianfa Xiamen Marathon will be launched with the gun firing on January 10, 2027 (Sunday), in Xiamen. The event features a single event of the full marathon (42.195 kilometers), with a participation scale of 35,000 people. The starting point and finish line are both located at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Xiamen Marathon was founded in 2003 and is one of the oldest marathon events in China. In 2021, the Xiamen Marathon received the "Elite Platinum Standard" certification from the World Athletics Federation, making it one of the few marathon events in China to achieve this honor. The 2027 Xiamen Marathon is not only the first Platinum Standard marathon in 2027 globally, but also carries the professional accumulation of 24 years since its establishment.

The Xiamen Marathon is one of the few World Athletics Federation Platinum Standard events in China. In the global marathon ranking released by the World Athletics Federation, the Xiamen Marathon has a total score of 9715 points, ranking 8th among 102 World Athletics Federation-certified full marathon events worldwide, and third among Asian events, topping Chinese events. From being awarded the "International Athletics Federation Road Running Gold Event" in 2007 and winning this honor for six consecutive years, to upgrading to Platinum Standard in 2021, the Xiamen Marathon has always represented the top level of Chinese marathon events, attracting the attention and participation of top runners from around the world and tens of thousands of ordinary runners.

The Xiamen Marathon raceway is hailed as "one of the most beautiful marathon raceways in the world". The route almost entirely follows the coastline, starting from the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, winding along Ring Road East and Ring Road South, passing through Yunding South Road and then returning to it before crossing the Yantu Bridge across the sea - when runners run on the bridge, their feet are on the vast sea, and their sides are blown by the sea breeze. Then it enters Lujiang Road, and a view of the buildings of Gulangyu Island can be seen in the distance. The raceway integrates the blue sea, sandy beaches, city skyline, and makes runners immerse themselves in the unique charm of Xiamen's "mountains, seas, lakes, and city". The flat and spacious race conditions are accompanied by the stunning sea view, and thus the Xiamen Marathon is hailed as "one of the fastest marathons in Asia".

The 2027 Xiamen Marathon has a participation scale of 35,000 people, with only one event of the full marathon. The competition continues the results direct entry mechanism, with 10,000 direct entry places set. Runners whose results meet the " standards for each age group of 2026 Jianfa Xiamen Marathon" can directly enter the competition. In addition， runners who have completed 10 Xiamen Marathons can obtain a permanent number， and 10% of the free direct entry places are reserved for each event. The multi-level direct entry mechanism provides stable participation channels for high-level runners and loyal runners， and also offers more opportunities for ordinary runners to stand on this Platinum Standard raceway.
